Rugged and heavy-duty, Tidland’s Mechanical Chuck provides superior performance in shaftless unwind stands, best suited in operations using rolls with fiber or metal cores. Precision-cast alloy steel makes this mechanical chuck virtually indestructible, providing torque capacity limited only by machine power and strength of the core material. Unlike other mechanical chucks, the Tidland design has a pressure flange located on its inboard end to ensure that the lugs will not expand until the chuck is fully in position.
